About Gemma4All

What this site is

Gemma4All is an independent publication focused on one thing: helping you run Google's Gemma 4 models locally, on hardware you already own. We publish step-by-step deployment guides, hardware requirement breakdowns, benchmark analyses, and practical comparisons — written for developers and enthusiasts who want local, private AI without a PhD in machine learning.

Why we exist

Official model documentation tells you what a model can do; it rarely tells you whether it will actually run on your MacBook Air, your mini PC, or your aging RTX 3060 — and what the experience is like when it does. We fill that gap with concrete numbers: memory footprints, quantization trade-offs, tokens-per-second on real consumer hardware, and honest notes on what breaks along the way.

How we work

  • Hands-on first. Setup guides are based on actually running the models with tools like Ollama and LM Studio, not on paraphrasing release notes.
  • Sources cited. Benchmark figures reference official model cards, leaderboards, and published evaluations, with links so you can verify them yourself.
  • Kept current. The local-AI ecosystem moves fast. We revisit guides when new model variants or tool versions change the picture.

Who is behind it

Gemma4All is built and maintained by an independent software developer who runs local models daily and writes up what actually works. It is a small operation by design — no content farm, no outsourced writing.
